These are programs, resources or activities related to work done by or for somebody else, such as: home rehab, legal assistance, resource & referral, home meals, local service projects.
These are programs, resources or activities that teach particular skills, such as: ESL classes, parenting, gardening, academic tutoring, nutrition, various support groups or leadership.
These are programs, resources or activities that address specific needs, such as: housing, food, household items, school supplies, clothing, toys and bikes or transportation.

This web-based community resource developed as a result of several Golden “Community Conversations” held in 2009. These gatherings, hosted by the Together Church of Golden, were attended by representatives from different segments of the community, including local service clubs, the faith community, City of Golden and Jefferson County, schools, various community groups, non-profits, School of Mines, youth, Golden Chamber of Commerce, residents, and Golden Police and Fire Departments. Our purpose was to discuss and explore ways to:

        • increase communication, coordination and collaboration in our community
        • develop partnerships between groups and individuals
        • increase effective and efficient use of resources
        • increase access to local and Golden area resources
        • provide a venue for responding to community needs
        • connect with each other for the well-being of all who live in Golden

This resource is for use by individuals and groups. It is a way to connect with others in Golden, to facilitate interaction and build partnerships that will strengthen our community, and to provide information that encourages participation in, and support of, a wide variety of community efforts.
